Detailed description
With the support of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the Sansthan organised a Rajasthani Folk Song and Folk Dance Festival at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Maidan, Village Gangapur, Development Block Machhrehta, District Sitapur. After the lamp-lighting and Vandana, artists presented Hasrat Geet, Sadavo Geet, Rasiya Geet, and Kangsiyo Geet. Kanchan Group & Party performed folk song and dance. The Chief Guest spoke of traditional arts that are fading and of every state’s distinct cultural identity, and appreciated the Sansthan’s work among rural communities. Students followed with awareness songs and plays. President Shri R. K. Chaurasia and Secretary Shri Mahendra Maurya honoured guests, children, and artists. Lunch packets were distributed. The evening closed with thanks to everyone who had kept folk art in the open air of a village ground.
