Programme overview

Two-month skill training for adolescent girls in Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Unnao, Sitapur and other districts.

Detailed description

Under the Kishori Shakti Yojana, the Sansthan conducted skill development training for adolescent girls in several districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Unnao, and Sitapur. Skilled women trainers led a two-month vocational course. On successful completion, each beneficiary received a training certificate, refreshments during the programme, and financial assistance of ₹400. The work sits at the meeting point of girl-child development and livelihood: a short, serious training that treats adolescent girls as future earners and decision-makers, not as dependents waiting on the household.
